Christmas Verse

Every Year on christmas my husbands Grandma passes around a tin with little scrolls with verses written on them. we pick a scroll unroll it and then read the verse aloud. Its a really neat tradition and one that clearly shows how open his grandma is to the spirit!

Last year spoke really clearly in both my husband’s and My’s verse about how we were to trust God with our situation. Each of our verses spoke to the situation we had at hand and how God already knew and was working in our situation.

This year was no different. We got our verses late as we did not celebrate Christmas on Christmas day with his family. Instead we saw them a few days later and  she brough us our two scrolls. That same morning at church I had prayed faithfully that God would change our circumstances. We have learned to trust him abundantly this past year and we have realigned priorities. But I am struggling right now i feel as though i am constant on edge and stress. So i prayed for him to show up abundantly this year, abundantly in our fiances, in our time, abundantly in tangible ways. I shared with him (even though he already knows) where i am at right now. I struggled with my prayer and what i asked of him, but i knew God would faithfully answer back. Little did I know would he answer so quickly!!!!

My Promise for the year…..

“Do not become discouraged! Your situation may seem impossible in the natural. But if you put your hope in me, I am able to change your circumstances. Nothing is impossible if you only believe. Psalm 42:5 and Mark 9:23”

So my hope is in him!!! and Here we go year i’m ready to take you on!!!!

What about all of you, have you had a promise from God for the year?

  1. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4

This verse has come up over and over, which is amazing – especially with everything going on with our family at the moment. His perfect promise to us as we grow in Him. ❤

(btw – been reading the book you recommended 'Created to Be His Help Meet'. Been going highlighter crazy. Thank you for the recommendation!)
